What about to visit one of the oldest and most unique mines on our continent?

 

Bardejov, Hervartov, Bardejovské Kúpele

Certainly do not miss the ancient, beautiful Bardejov, also nicknamed the most gothic city of Slovakia. In its surroundings you can find for example, a wooden church without a single nail and the legendary spa Bardejovské kúpele.

 

Prešov

Experience an unforgettable exhibition of the King of Pop-Art, Andy Warhol, and come visit one of the most well-known technical museums dedicated to salt mining – NKP Solivar. You can also visit the city’s historical centre, where you can see the Roman Catholic, Orthodox and Greek-Catholic churches as well as the Jewish Synagogue.

 

Levoča, Spišská Kapitula

Enjoy the historical atmosphere of royal city Levoča with the tallest gothic altar in the world,  Spišská Kapitula (the “Slovak Vatican”) and the Spiš Castle form one of the largest and most impressive cultural landmarks in Europe (UNESCO).

 

High Tatras

The smallest alpine mountains,where you can enjoy possiblity of hiking and see the major symbols of the Tatra region, such as the Tatran chamois or the unique alpine carriers.While boating on the Štrbské pleso tarn you can also enjoy the spectacular scenery of the High Tatras.

 

Ľubovňa castle and Hniezdne

Come to visit the town of Stará Ľubovňa and beautiful museum of the Ľubovňa Castle, taste a Slovak whiskey and the excellent chocolates in the Nestville park in Hniezdne. (5 km from Stará Ľubovňa). Get a taste of the local folklore by visiting the open - air museum of folk architecture located under the castle.

 

Kežmarok
