Originally a Greek Catholic wooden church – Church of St. Archangel Michael, Ruský Potok
The Church of St. Michal Archangel in Ruský Potok was built in 1740. Originally a Greek Catholic church, it has been converted into an Orthodox church in 2000.
The wooden temple in Ruský Potok was built from classic logs. The body of the temple tower is lined with boards and on the roof there are a specially shaped onion-like dome, a lantern with a roof, two onion-like domes on top of each other and a three-armed cross. The roof above the sanctuary features a simple turret with an onion-like dome and a three-armed cross.
Inside the church there is a four-panel iconostasis, which is a national cultural monument. It is believed that it dates from the 18th century. The space in which the iconostasis was mounted is narrower than the iconostasis itself, so the first and last pairs of icons are slanted.
Very valuable is a prothesis with an icon of the Deposition from the Cross dating from the 18th century and a liturgical book from the 17th century.
The wooden bell tower was added to the church only in 1956 and now houses three bells.
