In the Ice Age, the largest Tatra glacier was located on the site of today's valley Bielovodská dolina. The glacier left behind breathtaking natural phenomena, such as mountain lakes and moraine walls, which have been declared a national nature reserve.

Its northern neighbor is Belianske Tatras, its eastern neighbor is Široká and in the south rises high Tatras ridge. Four valleys starting in the upper levels open into the stream flowing down below. The valley Ťažká dolina (Heavy Valley) hides the mountain lakes Horné Zmrzlé pleso (Upper Frozen mountain lake) and Ťažké pleso (Heavy mountain lake), under which there is a 12 m high Ťažký waterfall (Heavy Waterfall). The valley Kačacia dolia (Duck’s Valley) boasts with 15 m high Hviezdoslav waterfall and mountain lakes Zelené kačacie pleso (Green Duck mountain lake) and Kačacie pliesko (Duck’s mountain lake). The valley Litvorova dolina is an attractive spot for tourists as it hides magnificent mountain lake Litvorovo pleso. The most extensive valley of the High Tatras, the 10 km long side valley Bielovodská dolina, makes the touristy spot valley Dolina Bielej vody even more attractive.

Visitors will surely appreciate a view of the rocky amphitheater in the background. Above the valley rise several proud peaks - Jahňací Peak (Lamb’s Peak), Jastrabia veža (Hawk’s Tower), Kolový Peak (Stake Peak), Čierny Peak (Black Peak), Baranie rohy Peak (Ram’s Horns Peak), Pyšný Peak (Proud Peak), Lomnický Peak, Kežmarský and Malý Kežmarský Peak. Extensive forests and the stream Kežmarská biela voda only intensify the feeling that time has stopped in the valley. Several hiking trails lead through the valley Bielovodska dolina.
