The wooden Greek Catholic Church of St. Michael, Príkra
The wooden church of the Holy Archangel Michael in the small village of Príkra was built in 1777. In the 1930s, the church was moved from its original location several tens of meters higher.
During the war, the temple was damaged, but then repaired between 1946 and 1947. In 1968 it was entered in the list of national cultural monuments.
The patron saint of the temple, the Holy Archangel Michael, in Hebrew Mich-a-el (meaning "Who is like God?"), is the leader of the heavenly crowds. November 8 is dedicated to the Archangel Michael and to all heavenly beings. The Archangel Michael is depicted as the leader of God's army, as a soldier in armor with a sword in his hand.
