One item of the exhibition from the artist’s life is the authentic frock that Warhol was baptized in. Among the rarities here is the original document in which Warhol renounced the hereditary property of the birthplace of his parents. The exclusive collection is complemented by sunglasses, a camera and a legendary tape recorder.
Red Lenin vs. Mick Jagger
The main exposition in the museum consists of a permanent collection of works by Andy Warhol, representing all of his creative periods, particularly in the form of serigraphs – screen printings. Among the oldest are two serials of the Campbell's soup cans from 1969. We rate the portfolio of the 10 most famous Jews of the 20th century, or the portfolio of Ladies and Gentlemen, as most important works here.
Among the most controversial works here are serigraphs Hammer and Sickle or Red Lenin. Visitors can also come across Rolling Stones frontman Mike Jagger here, as well as actress Ingrid Bergman and President Teddy Roosevelt, done in Andy Warhol’s pop art style.
