Sanok

Sanok is a town located in the south-eastern part of Poland and is another gateway to the Bieszczady. The town has a population of about 40,000 inhabitants.

Sanok lies on the San River approximately 52 km south of Przemysl directly under the Carpathian Mountains. The town has a rich history and many attractions on offer, such as the Museum of Folk Architecture or Sanok Castle. Sanok is a member of the Carpathian Euroregion, the aim of which is to bring people together concerned about the Carpathian region and to facilitate their cooperation in the fields of science, culture, education, trade, tourism and the economy.

The historical core of the town is completed by well-preserved cultural and historical buildings. Among the most popular is the Royal Castle, which is today a historical museum with unique collections of icons and an open-air museum.

The town on the banks of the San River, which can be navigated, offers a great many opportunities for relaxation and active exploration.
