PREŠOV/BARDEJOV (24 November 2016) - A new relaxation and sports place is growing near Bardejov. It is an oxygen track in suburban recreational forest Mihalovo, which has been dilapidated for many years. Soon it will serve the general public with new and reconstructed elements.
A trail that gets you in shape. This is how one could describe the almost 3 kilometres long hiking and relaxation trail in the suburban recreational forest of Bardejov in the Mihalovo district. The trail had been dilapidated for many years, and its restoration was carried out by the Regional Tourism Organisation of the North-East of Slovakia in cooperation with the Regional Tourism Organisation (OOCR) Šariš - Bardejov.
"This is the so-called oxygen pathway, which combines exercise, relaxation and being outdoors. Visitors will find 19 stations with various exercise activities. They will gradually exercise their whole body and spend time in a pleasant forest environment," Martin Janoško, director of the KOCR Northeast of Slovakia, introduced the trail.
In addition to the restored wooden elements for exercise, the shelters for tourists with seating and fireplace, rubbish bins and in the course of December they will still be planted information boards (maps) and tables with explanations on how to practice each element effectively.
In the locality of Bardejov it is already a second renovated oxygen runway. The first to undergo renovation was the oxygen track in Bardejov Spa, which has been serving the public in a new look since the end of 2014. Both oxygen tracks were financed by KOCR North-East of Slovakia and OOCR Šariš - Bardejov with the support of a subsidy from the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic.
Shelter with fireplace. The site will be complemented by information boards.
