The Tatra people do not forget about the fans of various attractions, events, history and quality services.
Romantic Strbské Pleso
From Štrbské Pleso you can take a comfortable chairlift ride to the Chata pod Soliskom, from where you will have a magnificent view of Štrbské Pleso and the surrounding peaks. Magical moments are also offered by a carriage ride or boating on the lake with unmistakable views of the Tatra panorama. Sports enthusiasts will find a climbing wall, a rope park and a bicycle and e-bike rental. Children will have a blast in the Orlíkovo children's amusement park.
On the way from Štrbské Pleso to Starý Smokovec, stop at the newly opened Poliankovo digital gallery in Tatranská Polianka. Through digital simulation, virtual reality, 3D projection and shadow play, it brings visitors closer to the amazing places of our planet. The expositions were created in cooperation with the well-known Slovak documentary filmmaker Pavel Barabáš.
Historical Old Smokovec
Starý Smokovec is the oldest settlement in the Tatras. Here you will find one of the oldest buildings in the Tatras, Villa Flora, whose premises are used for regular art exhibitions and for the production of jewellery with a Tatra theme. Villa Alica is home to Museum of Tatra Cinema and Photography and the Society of Mountain Guides. Interesting is also the building of the Swiss House with minimuseum of mountain carriers. The history of Smokovce is also brought closer by an educational trail with the same name.
From Starý Smokovec there is an overland cableway to Hrebienok, where you should not miss a visit to the newly opened Kvantarium light gallery. Here you can experience multimedia shows, interactive exhibits and explanations of physical phenomena in a fairy-tale spirit.
Heart of TANAP Tatranská Lomnica
From Tatranská Lomnica by cable car you can take the cable car to Skalnate pleso, from where you can transfer to cable car up to Lomnicky Peak.
Directly in Tatranská Lomnica you will be gladly welcomed in the TANAP Museum, SKI Museum and the Exposition of Tatra Nature - Botanical Garden. Families with children up to 12 years of age will enjoy a visit to the Good Toy Gallery. A pleasant walk is offered by the Lomnický park, which is one of the venues of Tatra cultural events.
Poprad - the gateway to the High Tatras
Visitors to Poprad can see its centre with a museum and gallery. If you are tempted by unique views not only from the Tatras, take a climb to the recently the accessible tower of the Church of St. Aegidius. The possibility of ascent is provided to visitors as part of the popular tour of the square offered by the Poprad Municipal Information Office.
In Poprad, you should not bypass its historical suburban part - the city monument reservation Spišská Sobota, which is exceptional for its ancient architecture. Do not miss a visit to the water world under the Tatras - Aquacity Poprad water park. It offers 13 outdoor and indoor pools with thermal water with a temperature of 28°-38 °C, water slides, more than 350 water attractions and a wellness centre.
