The fifth year of the photographic competition Go and take pictures is again waiting for interesting pictures from the most photogenic region under the Tatras. Show us the beauty and attractions of the Prešov region in your photos and win interesting prizes! In addition, the photos of the finalists of the competition will once again have their own travelling exhibition.
From January 2017 until 15 October 2017, amateur and professional photographers can submit their photos from the Prešov Region to the competition Go and Shoot 2017, prepared by the KOCR Northeast of Slovakia. The prerequisite is that the photo was taken on the territory of the Prešov Region until 15 October 2017.
Each contestant can submit a maximum of 5 photos. About the winners in four categories will be decided by an expert jury, which will again be chaired by the well-known photographer Jano Štovka. His favourite will also be selected by fans of the Northeast of Slovakia on Facebook.
There are four competition categories:
1. Nature (mountains, meadows, pastures, water areas, reservoirs, alpine meadows, landscapes...)
2. Culture, traditions and history (historical objects - castles, chateaus, manor houses, towns, squares and people of our region)
3. Sport and sports activities
4. Black & white

"The Prešov region offers a lot of interesting places, we will look forward to seeing all the pictures and I believe that they will be an inspiration for trips for many people after they are published. Previous editions of the competition have had a great response from the public, a lot of shares in the media and on social networks. The authors of the final photographs can again look forward to a travelling exhibition, which will kick off with an opening at the Jonáš Záborský Theatre in November 2017." Martin Janoško, Director of KOCR Northeast of Slovakia, invites to the competition. The main objective of the competition is to promote domestic tourism, present the beauty of the Prešov region and increase the number of visitors to attractions in our region.

Jano Štovka: The most photogenic region in Slovakia? Prešov region!
THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE COMPETITION:
The competition is organised by the Regional Tourism Organisation of the North-East of Slovakia. The competition is open to amateur and professional photographers. The photograph submitted to the competition must be the work of the author who entered it in the competition. The competition is open to digital photographs and also to scanned photographs from 35mm film. Photographs must be in high resolution, in JPG (JPEG) format, so that the photo can be enlarged to A3 format - with a minimum resolution of 1600 dots (pixels) on the longer side at 300 dpi. One author may submit maximum 5 photos in total. The competition is announced in four categories: 1. Nature, 2. Culture, traditions and history, 3. Sports and sporting activities, 4. Black & white. The photograph must be taken on the territory of Prešov Region until 15 October 2017. Competition photos are required to be sent by 15 October 2017 at 23:59. Competition photos must be sent electronically to: marketing@severovychod.sk (possibly via the repository). The photographs can also be delivered on digital media CD or DVD in person or by post to the address. The competition photos must be accompanied by:
- author's name and surname,
- age of the author
- author's address,
- title of photo,
- description to the photo - place and date of creation,
- the name of the relevant competition category.
The organizer of the competition reserves the right, depending on the number and quality of the competition photos, to move the competition photos to another category, to award more prizes within the category, or to award no prizes in the category. The winners of the competition will be decided by an expert jury. One winner will also be chosen by the public by voting on the Facebook profile of KOCR Northeast of Slovakia. By submitting photographs, the contestant gives permission to publish his/her work. By submitting a photo, the contestant gives the organizer of the competition and the co-organizer of the competition - the Prešov Self-Governing Region consent to use the work to the extent of its publication, archiving, reproduction and publication of the work with the indication of the author of the photo, without the author's right to remuneration, to which he is entitled pursuant to § 19 (2) of Act No. 185/2015 Coll. on Copyright. Acceptance of this arrangement shall be deemed to be acceptance of a gratuitous licence. By submitting the photograph, the author agrees to the terms and conditions of the competition.
