Part of the exhibitions from the artist's life is an authentic the shirt in which Warhol was christened. Among the rarities is also the original deed by which he renounced the hereditary estates in his parents' birthplace. Sunglasses, a camera and a legendary tape recorder complete the exclusive collection.
Red Lenin vs. Mick Jagger
The main exhibition part of the museum consists of a permanent exhibition of Andy Warhol's works, representing all his creative periods, mostly in the form of serigraphs - silkscreens. The earliest dated ones include two serigraphs of Campbell's Soups from 1969. Among the most important are the portfolio of the 10 most famous Jews of the 20th century or the Ladies and Gentlemen portfolio.
Among Most controversial accessible works include the serigraphs Hammer and Scythe or Red Lenin. In the museum, visitors can meet Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, actress Ingrid Bergman and President Teddy Roosevelt in Andy Warhol's pop art rendition.
More than an ordinary museum
In addition to the gallery, the Warhol Museum is also a museum-educational institution, which provides consultancy activities in the field of museum-educology, art theory, and the possibilities of museum-management activities, as well as scientific research activities in the field of art theory and the criticism of current visual art.
