Cross-country skiing trails around Bardejov
The Šariš region is a popular destination for trips even during the winter months. Snow lovers can choose from a wide range of winter attractions. Popular are, for example, cross-country skiing trails in the vicinity of Bardejov. Many of them serve as cycle paths, singletracks during the year. The network of singletracks near Bardejov and in the Bardejov Spa is snow-covered in winter and some of them serve as cross-country ski tracks. There are 6 interconnected cycle paths in the vicinity of Bardejov, with a length of almost 10 km. They consist of 4 healing singletracks - Lekársky, Napoleon, Čerešenka and Herkules, Oxygen path Mihalov - Bardejov, Oxygen track in Bardejov Spa.
For less fit cross-country skiers there are 3 suitable trails: the Ostrá hôrka - Bardejovské Kúpele trail with a length of 4 km, then the Vila Orlík - Čerešňa Bardejovské Kúpele trail with a length of 7 km and finally the Bardejovské Kúpele swimming pool warehouse trail - Kyslíková cesta - Bardejovské Kúpele lake with a length of 3 km.
For active cross-country skiers, there are 2 cross-country skiing circuits in the spa area - the Vila Orlík trail - cherry tree - three wells - Bardejovské Kúpele swimming pool (9 km) and Bardejovské Kúpele in the direction of Zborov castle - winter well - lake (5 km).
These cross-country skiing trails can only be created after a heavier snowfall. The base layer is important. During the year, these trails are appreciated by cycling enthusiasts and in winter they are used by cross-country skiers. The routes are marked in the current hiking and cycling maps of Bardejov Spa.
