The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Spišská Stara Ves is a Roman Catholic Gothic church dating from the 2nd half of the 14th century. The church was modified in the 2nd half of the 17th century and in 1772. It was restored in 1928.
The presbytery, the outer wall of the nave, the sacristy and the western tower have been preserved from the original Gothic building. The main altar is late Baroque, dating from 1765, with columned rocaille decorated architecture and a side ambulatory door on the concave wall.
In the shallow niches there are sculptures of St. Stephen the King and Ladislav, St. John the Baptist and St. Joseph. In the middle is a painting of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary from the middle of the 19th century.
