Cherry Hiking Trail

Among the tourist attractive places in the vicinity of Bardejov is the Čerešňa hiking trail. It has its charm throughout the year, but in winter it is even more attractive.

The Čerešňa saddle is located at an altitude of 520 m above sea level. It is a crossroads of tourist routes. For hikers there is also a covered seating area and an open fireplace. In mid-December 2020, the renovation of the infrastructure of the tourist elements in the Čerešňa saddle was completed, as well as in the nearby local seating area Tri studničky. The Zbojnícka Studňa has also been renovated. This revitalisation has made the Čerešňa saddle even more attractive, which lies at an important crossroads of several hiking trails and is also on the longest hiking trail in Slovakia, which is the 790 km long SNP Trail, starting at Dukla and ending at Bradla. Wooden gazebos, benches, wells and a used fireplace have been restored.

An important part of the Čerešňa hiking trail is the new "Royal singletrack", 1.3 km long. It partly connects to the existing forest road under Kamenná hora, which connects the Čerešňa saddle with the local Three Wells sitting area.
The surroundings of Bardejov and the Bardejov Spa have suitable conditions for cycling and thanks to the revitalization of hiking trails as well as the surroundings themselves, the mentioned environment is becoming more and more attractive. From Čerešná, tourists can also reach other popular places.
From the Čerešňa saddle, for example, Stebnická Magura is 1:15 h away and Hradný vrch Zborov is 3:10 h away. If you visit the town of Bardejov or the Bardejov Spa, the Čerešňa hiking trail is the right choice for hiking.
