Tourist route: Kríže - Čierna jedlina - Livov

Crosses - Black Fir - Livov

The Šariš region offers many tourist possibilities to spend your free time or holiday days. An interesting tip for a trip is, for example, the route Kríž - Čierna Jedlina - Livov.

The beginning of the route leads from the bus stop in the village of Križe along the blue marked trail, which leads to the Greek-Catholic Church of the Most Holy Mother of God, a late-classical church from 1852. The route then continues to a point to a dirt road, which soon turns off to the right, and the path continues on to a footpath from the bottom of a meadow around a stream. Soon the path turns left and crosses the meadow up to a solitary pair of trees. On one of the trees, a sign - a heron - is visible from a distance. At this point the trail joins the dirt road leading out of the village to the right.

A path through woods and meadows follows. The trail continues up through the meadow to the heronry and proceeds to the woods above the meadow, where it rejoins the dirt road. From this road, after about 200 metres, it turns right into a meadow to reach a wood where there is a signpost for Čierna Jedlina (Black Fir). The path follows a narrow path, then continues along a waterlogged forest track to the confluence of streams. Nearby there is an asphalt road from which the trail continues to the village of Livov. The unique atmosphere is completed by the beautiful environment and nature in which this hiking trail is located.
