Holy Trinity Church, Svidník

The Orthodox church community in Svidník, as well as other church communities, lived through a period when, according to the law, it had to hand over its church (it was a church located in the locality of the former Nizhny Svidník and is dedicated to the feast of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God). It was in 1993. However, after an agreement with the government, the Orthodox Church community in Svidnik was granted a financial subsidy for the construction of a new temple.

In an incredibly short period of time, 11 months, it was possible to build in Svidník new templewhich is a jewel not only within the city, but also within SlovakiaOn 3 October 1993, the foundation stone was consecrated and a year later, on 4 September 1994, the new Orthodox church dedicated to the Holy Trinity was consecrated by the current Metropolitan, His Beatitude Nicholas, Archbishop of Prešov, Metropolitan of the Czech Lands and Slovakia.

Despite the fact that the temple was already completed, the faithful were not called to the temple by the bells, so the construction of the bell towers. Its construction began on 2 November 1999 and its consecration took place on 29 September 2002.
