The valley of Zelené pleso is a part of the White Water Valley.
The White Water Valley is a large forested valley in the eastern part of the High Tatras, which leads many hiking trails to the end of the valley. The valley branches into several valleys: besides the Valley of the Green Pleso, also the Valley of the White Plies or the Fore Meďodoly valley below the Belianske Tatras.
The Copper Waterfall is formed on the lower part of the rock sill at the border of the Copper Valley, the Great Frozen Valley and the Valley of the Green Pleso.
The White Brook flows through the area and is fed by water from the streams of the three valleys, the Green, White, and Napájadlého brooks.
The valley was opened to visitors by hiking trails in the 1870s.
The waterfall is clearly visible all year round from the hut on the Green Pleso.
