The route of the Pieniny cycling route passes from the northern part of the Poprad basin to Zamagurie and from there back to northern Spiš. Its most interesting part runs through the Pieniny Mountains, a mountain range stretching along the Polish border.
The Pieniny cycling tour includes one challenging climb and is passable by road bikes. It connects two ancient Spiš towns and its biggest attractions include a visit to the Pieniny National Park (with the tourist-attractive Dunajec Gorge) and the Red Monastery, which is beautifully nestled in the Pieniny countryside under the majestic Three Crowns Mountain.
