Product Description:

Follow in the footsteps of the 1st and 2nd World War. During the trip you will have the opportunity to visit unique places of the North-East of the Prešov region. It is one of the few regions of the present Slovak Republic (SR) where military operations took place during World War I. The fight for the Carpathian Mountains was also concentrated on the territory of its extreme northeast. Hundreds of soldiers of the opposing sides (Slovaks, Czechs, Germans, Austrians, Hungarians, Russians, Ukrainians) gave their lives in difficult natural conditions. This area became a place of suffering 30 years later, when the Carpathian-Dukla operation - one of the most difficult military operations in mountainous terrain during the Second World War - took place here. During the two days you will have the opportunity to visit the battle sites, where there are memorials, commemorative sites, bunkers, observation posts, combat equipment, military cemeteries, as well as UNESCO sites.
