It dates from 1656 and of all the bell towers in Spiš it is the most changed. In 1768 it was Baroque-ized and since then it has probably been connected with the town hall. It does not have a Renaissance finial or a sgraffito. Only the twinned sound windows have been preserved in the Renaissance style. It has undergone further alterations and since 1824 has had its present appearance.
There is also a clock on the belfry, which was originally on the church tower. It is the first tower clock in Slovakia. The bell tower is a narrow corridor connected with the beautiful Renaissance town hall, which today houses the Spiš Museum. Zdroj: www.pokladyslovenska.sk
