The Regional Tourism Organisation of the North-East of Slovakia is launching the Winter Challenge campaign during this winter tourist season, which aims to show the tourist potential of the Prešov Region to its visitors.
The Winter Call 2 starts on 20 December 2021 and runs until 20 March 2022. This year's edition is called Expedition Northeast of Slovakia, as the campaign also includes lesser-known tourist locations.The 15 locations within the Prešov region are divided into three categories according to difficulty (easy, medium, hard). During the duration of the project, bonus locations will also be revealed.
"The situation shows us once again that the only place where we can move freely is nature. We firmly hope that the ski resorts will open in 2022, but at the same time we are also preparing for the 'lockdown' option, during which this campaign can also take place, as we have chosen the locations to be spread all over the Prešov region," explains Martin Janoško, Executive Director of KOCR Northeast Slovakia.
Participants in the winter challenge can during during the competition to get interesting prizes. KOCR Northeast of Slovakia donates to everyone who passes at least five places, a nice gift in the form of a headband, for ten sites it will be comfortable socks and for all fifteen a multifunctional scarf (buff). In addition, everyone who passes all locations will be entered into a draw for a pair of hiking boots BOSP.
KOCR Northeast of Slovakia placed all the places included in the Winter Challenge 2 unique stickers. To win the prize, the participant must take a photo of himself/herself next to the sticker and then send the photo in a message to FB profile Northeast of Slovakia or by email to zimnavyzva@gmail.com. Each competitor who meets the following conditions will be able to collect a prize for the sites they have covered at the headquarters of the KOCR Northeast of Slovakia.
The print basis for the entire campaign is a leaflet where interested parties can find information about the sites involved in the campaign.

This year's edition of the Winter Challenge is also in the spirit of National Marriage Week. Participants who also register at www.ntmpo.sk and send at least one photo with their significant other from one of the Winter Challenge locations by 06/02/2022, they have a chance to win other great prizes. 
"National Marriage Week (NTM) is a global initiative, which has been taking place in Slovakia for the 12th year. NTM encourages spouses, helps them to build their marriage and also draws the attention of society to the value of marriage. The main campaign of NTM takes place always in the week of St. Valentine's Day. The next NTM will take place from 14 February 2022 - 20 February 2022. All spouses are invited to choose from a selection of upcoming programmes, which will be gradually published on the website from various locations in Slovakia. www.ntm.sk.
