The Renaissance manor house in Horní Šariš dates back to the period 1623 - 1630. The manor house in Fričovce is two-tract, rectangular in plan, with two square towers on the corners. The sgraffito ornamentation, with emphasis on the individual figures placed in the arcatures of the attic, attracts the attention of all visitors. There are 150 figures from mythology (Mars, Venus), history (King Ladislav, Matthias, Sultan Amurat, Jan Žižka, the hero Aeneas, Brutus and the ruler Titus) and also divine virtues (Faith, Hope, Love). The author of the work is Martin Waxmann.

During the last modification, the year 1630 and a sundial were unveiled on the façade of the right corner tower.

The first owners and builders, the Berthóty family, originally built the manor house as a fortress residence with shooting galleries and ditches all around. After the Berthóty family, the mansion passed into the ownership of the Ghillány family, who reconstructed it around 1840 and modified especially the interior. They occupied the manor until 1945. In the middle of the 20th century, the Fričov manor became the property of the state.

Apart from the interior of the manor house, its exterior is also worth tourists' attention - it consists of a well-kept natural-landscape park with rare trees. Thanks to its exceptional flora, the park has been declared a protected area. The aesthetic experience of the surrounding nature is enhanced by a walk around the lake and ponds.

At present, the monument is partially open to the public. Visitors will certainly enjoy the restaurant on the ground floor or the possibility to stay in a hotel directly in the Fričov manor.

Sundial:

In the Fričovce manor house we find a vertical sundial, which is complete. It has a dial which is marked with Roman numerals in the shape of a semicircle and housed in a decorative ribbon. The range of the dial is from VI to IV, i.e. from six o'clock in the morning to four o'clock in the afternoon. The dial is located in the centre of a simple circle. The sundial is clearly visible on the façade of the mansion.
