Lačnovský canyon is a picturesque gorge in the northeastern part of Branisko, dug by the Lačnovský brook. It belongs to the protected area of the Kamenná Baba National Nature Reserve and is accessible by a nature trail, the starting points of which are the village of Lipovce and the settlement of Lačnov. The trail in the Lačnov Canyon is equipped in several parts with metal steps, ladders, footbridges and auxiliary chains.
This beautiful locality can be found not only in maps but also in literature under various names - most often it is referred to as the Lačnov Canyon, but some also call it the Little Slovak Paradise. The gorge is about 2 km long and widens at the bottom in some places. Even waterfalls have formed in the narrows.
Lachnov Canyon has steep slopes and high walls with bizarre rock formations. Medzi najznámejšie patrí Kamenná Baba, ktorá svojím tvarom pripomína ženu s dieťaťom v náručí. Legend has it that it is about an evil stepmother who wanted to throw her stepchild off a cliff, but before she could do so, she was petrified. Other interesting formations include the Moses Column, 60 m high and rock window Vrátnica. V skalách sa nachádzajú aj známe jaskyne Komín či Bad Holewhich is the only accessible cave in the Šariš region.
The untouched village of Lačnov in a mountain locality is one of the few in Slovakia that has been completely preserved. The atmosphere is completed by cottages with wells and wooden gutters with clear water.
The surroundings of the Lacnov Canyon offer many other interesting places. The most famous are the ruins of Liptov Castle from the 13th century, also known as the Chateau, a cave Bad Hole or Srdiečko sightseeing footbridge on the way to the cave.
Attention is also attracted by an optical illusion called the Lačnov anomaly in front of the Lačnov settlement. Although the terrain of the road appears to be rising, it actually descends, giving the impression that objects are rolling uphill. The area is rich in mineral springs, among the most famous is the Salvator Spring. Lovers of traditional folk architecture like to visit the village of Lačnov, which is a rural conservation area.

Pre peších: Trasa k Vrátnici cez Lačnovský kaňon začína pri vstupnej bráne v obci Lipovce neďaleko parkoviska. Kaňonom možno prejsť po červenej značke až k obnovenému rebríku, odkiaľ nasleduje žlté značenie.
