The Museum of Ruthenian Culture in Prešov has a national scope and is a documentary, scientific research and methodological workplace focused on the history and culture of the Ruthenians in Slovakia.
The museum provides professional-methodological and scientific advisory assistance to the studying youth and those interested in Ruthenian issues in various fields of human activity. It is also a consultation centre for Rusyns from abroad.
The museum staff is striving to gradually prepare a multilingual catalogue of the acquired exhibits, to pay due attention to promotional materials, to try to raise funds for the museum's activities from various sources (including international ones) and to prepare other activities for the benefit of the museum.
