The Jarčiská area covers an area of approximately 0.5 ha in the municipality of Roškovce in the Medzilaborce district. It was declared a nature reserve in 1982.
The Jarčiská Nature Reserve with the fourth level of protection was declared for the protection of rare meadow and bog phytocenoses of the Ondavská vrchovina for scientific research, educational and cultural-educational purposes.
It is a vernal pool with a wetland with a surface occurrence of calcareous sinter and meadow formations overgrown with reeds.
The highest point in the Jarčiská reserve reaches 458 m above sea level.
