In the past, a watchtower stood on the site of the redoubt, which was rebuilt in the 17th century. The castle's owners - the Thököly family - converted the redoubt into a manor house in the 17th century. In 1705-1708 the building was the printing house of Matej Glaser - Vitraria. In 1818 the building was rebuilt in the Classicist style into a redoubt. On its façade there is a Latin inscription: VigILIIs hospItIbV aC obLeCta MentIs DestInata (Designed for guards, guests and entertainments). When the redoubt was rebuilt, it was connected to the townhouse at No. 3 Main Square, which has a Renaissance portal with the initials S.W. and a mason's emblem. Source: www.kezmarok.net
