Renaissance bell tower in Podolínec

Renaissance bell tower, building from 1659, we include to the so-called. Eastern Slovak Renaissance. The two-storey prismatic building is finished with a two-bay Renaissance attic with a blind arcade and armed volute gables. It is divided in the middle by a cordon cornice. On the first floor there are double and triple windows with semicircular termination. On the south side there is an extension with an arcaded staircase leading to the bell tower floor.

In the bell tower there are two gothic bells in diameters of 80 and 100 cm. On one of the bell covers there is a cross three times and on the other there is an inscription.

The Renaissance bell tower was also on the the official postage stamp of Slovakia from the issue "Beauties of our homeland - Renaissance bell towers". On 19 May 2006 this stamp was inaugurated in Podolínec.
