The waterfall of the Rígeľský brook is located in the Monkova valley.
Monkova dolina is located on the northern side of the Belianske Tatry National Reserve. The valley is open seasonally during the summer and together with the Valley of Seven Springs it belongs to only two valleys that are accessible in the Belianske Tatras.
The Belianske Tatras represent the mountain range of the eastern Tatras. Their highest peak is Havran Hill (2 151.5 m above sea level), which is not accessible to tourists due to nature protection. The first inhabitants of the Belianske Tatry were shepherds in the 14th century. There is the only Tatra cave that is open to the public - the Belianska Cave.
The waterfall of the Rígeľský brook is visible from the nature trail (green colour), which leads through the Monk's valley to the Široké sedlo.
