The Greek-Catholic wooden church of Saints Cosmas and Damian in the village of Vyšný Komárnik was built around the middle of the 18th century. It was preserved until the beginning of the 20th century, when it was probably destroyed during World War I. The second temple was built on the original site in 1924.
The building of the temple is of log construction, the tower of columns. It is built on a low stone foundation. The temple is three-part, three-space, three-towered with three metal crosses. Originally there was one bell in the tower from 1909, but today there are already four bells. The entrance to the church is from the west side through the vestibule. It lacks a choir. As far as the plan is concerned, the nave is the widest.
Of interest of the wooden church in Vyšné Komárnik there are high windows in the sanctuary and the nave.
Iconost has a four-row architecture on four floors. The icons are more recent, probably from the time of the construction of this second church, except for the icon of St. Nicholas in the first row and probably the superstructures for the medallions of the prophets. The entire iconostasis was restored in 2006.
