Ski resort – Danová
The Ski resort Danová is located in the Upper Zemplín region near the town of Medzilaborce. The base station is located at an altitude of 490 meters above sea level and the highest point of the resort is at 660 meters above sea level. The total elevation is therefore 170 meters.
The ski season in Danová starts in January and lasts until February. The total length of the slopes is 2.3 km, of which 1.3 km are covered with artificial snow. The resort has 2 lifts with a total transport capacity of 1,220 people per hour.
Slopes of various difficulty can accommodate the needs of beginner skiers as well as those more experienced. Parents with children can use the children's ski lift or improve their skills in the ski school located directly in the resort. A popular attraction is the ski carousel with movable handles for children to learn the basics of skiing.
Fans of cross-country skiing will fall in love with Danová as there are 2 km of maintained trails. An ice rink is there, too.
